1.  What is the process for obtaining a free estimate?

Simply give us a call or drop us an email and let us know how and when you would like to be contacted.  We will then set up an appointment to meet with you and discuss your project.  Often, we can give you an estimate at this stage based upon our previous experience with jobs having similarities to yours.  If we are unable to do this, we will prepare a detailed estimate and get back to you as soon as possible.

Small jobs are often hard to estimate so handyman services are usually charged on a time and materials basis.  Our Handyman Services are billed at a rate of $45.00 per hour per skilled craftsman.  Our labor charges apply to all work-related activities such as reviewing the job with the customer, doing the work, traveling to get supplies and materials, and clean up.  In the Denver Metro area, labor charges begin when we depart for the job and end when we leave.  You pay travel one way.  We have a one hour minimum charge to cover our overhead expenses, travel and paperwork.  Our customers generally get a better value for their money if we can take care of several things at once, because proportionately more of our time can be spent on productive work at the jobsite versus overhead functions.  Customers can also save money by having the needed materials on site (paint colors, fixtures, hardware selections, etc.)

For detailed estimating on larger projects, we utilize computer software that includes a database of current building costs for residential and commercial construction.  This includes the costs associated with materials, equipment and labor.  We may need to determine the costs of subcontractors, if applicable, as well as fees charged by municipalities for building permits and inspections.  Our software helps us to have fairness and consistency in our estimating.  We believe that you should get a fair value for your money.

We want you to understand what we think is involved in your project and we will be happy to discuss the rationale behind our quote.  We understand that once you have our quote, you might want to look it over for a time before committing to a contract.  We won’t pressure you in that regard.  We encourage you to shop around until you are satisfied that you have found the right contractor for your job.  If you decide to hire us, give us a call and we will draw up the papers.  If not, there’s nothing more you need to do.

2.  What does the quote entail?
The Quote details the proposed services and their associated costs, and also includes a contract explaining each Party’s Responsibilities.  Our quotes may include a drawing or set of drawings detailing the work to be performed.  You should let us know if you have any questions or concerns and we will try to address them.

3.  Do you have references?
We sure do.  We are happy to provide references upon request.
